Cruise Ships Are Coming Back in August?

·

1–2 minutes

Back in May, there was a notice that cruise ships would return to Port Vila, and many of us were excited, preparing our businesses and markets for visitors. But as many noticed, that arrival didn’t happen as announced.

Now, we’ve seen a new update that cruise ships might return to Port Vila this August, bringing hope for small businesses, mamas at the market, taxi drivers, and families who depend on tourism. We don’t have confirmed details yet, but the possibility alone is lifting spirits.

Cruise tourism has always been a vital part of our local economy, supporting tour operators, vendors, and the transport sector. After the challenges of the past few years—and especially following the big earthquake that struck Vanuatu last December—it would be refreshing to see another step toward recovery.

I tried searching online for further details such as the exact arrival date, the ship name, and the passenger numbers, but I couldn’t find any confirmed updates. It’s best to contact Vanuatu Tourism Office directly if you want to know more or to prepare your business ahead of the arrival.

We hope to see Port Vila bustling again with visitors soon, but for now, it’s best to contact the Vanuatu Tourism Office directly if you want official details to prepare ahead.
