Meta has signed a six-year cloud computing deal with Google worth over $10 billion, according to a source. The agreement will see Meta use Google Cloud’s servers, storage, networking, and related services to support its vast AI infrastructure push. The deal comes after CEO Mark Zuckerberg pledged to spend hundreds of billions on AI data centers, raising Meta’s capital expenditure forecast to as much as $72 billion. To help fund these investments, Meta is seeking outside partners and has moved to offload $2 billion in data center assets. The contract highlights growing collaborations between rivals, as OpenAI has also turned to Google Cloud. Google’s cloud unit recently reported a 32% revenue jump, underlining strong demand for AI-driven computing power.
