·

,

The countdown is almost over! FruitFest 2025 officially begins this Wednesday, 8 October, at the Waterfall Precinct, Fatumaru Bay, and runs through Friday, 10 October. Here’s a full roundup of what the public needs to know before the big event kicks off.

Artists Have Arrived

Solo artists from the Solomon Islands – Onetox, Ksiel, and Bibao – have landed in Port Vila and are ready to bring the stage alive! They’ll be performing alongside top Vanuatu artists including Vanessa Quai, Seth, Vatururu, and others, all powered by the Z1 Band. Expect a fusion of island music, culture, and pure energy every night from 6:00 PM.

Schools and Teachers Briefed

Yesterday, teachers and students from participating schools met for final briefings. The discussions covered competition guidelines, safety, and schedules. Competitions will include the Smoothie & Juice Challenge, Food Pyramid Building, and Creative Arts displays — promoting healthy living and nutrition education for children.

Traffic & Safety

The Traffic Management Plan has been approved by the Vanuatu Police Force – Traffic Department.

Expect temporary road closures around the Waterfall Precinct between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM daily.

Dedicated parking zones are provided for the public, VIPs, and vendors.

Please follow the guidance of traffic controllers and security officers for smooth movement and safety.
Emergency access routes remain open at all times, with Promedical and Tamalas Security on standby.

Clean & Green Festival

The Waste Management Team, led by Lopez Adams with support from Express Rubbish Removals, is ensuring the site remains clean and eco-friendly throughout the event. Visitors are encouraged to use marked bins and support the festival’s “Clean Venue, Healthy Planet” initiative.

Sanitation & Water

Toilets and washing stations are available around the venue. The VMF Fire Department will assist in refilling water tanks, while World Vision has supported hand-washing facilities to promote hygiene and health.
